Trinity Lutheran Church of Chambersburg once again hosted Blessing of the Animals on Sunday afternoon, Oct 2.  St. Francis, Assisi is the patron saint of animals, and this blessing is a tradition that coincides with the Feast Day of St.Francis.  The gray clouds disappeared and we enjoyed blue skies with plenty of sunshine.  In addition to the service, releasing of monarch butterflies, and memorial tree with name ribbons, there was a remembrance for deceased pets.  Many thanks to the clergy, Trinity Task group, Boy Scout Troop #134, Girl Scout Troop #80802, and all the attendees on both 2 and 4 legs that made this day special as we celebrated God’s goodness in all creation.
